The DeLonghi Magnifica Coffee And Espresso Machine Is an Affordable Indulgence

DeLonghi produces a remarkable espresso machine, the ESAM 3300 Magnifica coffee and espresso machine. This machine, with it's sleek design, it's amazingly lengthy checklist of features, and it's incredible brew quality, is just one more impressive device from certainly one of Italy's premier espresso machine producers.

Just four buttons and two dials operate many of the Magnifica coffee machine's functions, making it extremely user friendly. The buttons allow you to turn the machine on and off, select the hot h2o setting, or choose between making 1 cup or 2 cups. The two dials adjust the h2o volume setting, and the ground coffee quantity setting. These few buttons and dials let you literally customize your Magnifica coffee or espresso just the way in which you like it.

By changing the volume of water utilized, or the volume of ground coffee used, or both, you have total control over the strength and taste of your espresso. The more ground coffee that you set the machine to use the stronger the taste will be; a weaker cup of espresso will result whenever you dial down the volume of ground coffee used.

The grind of the bean will also affect the taste of your espresso. The conical burr grinder on the Magnifica coffee and espresso machine offers a choice of 7 different grind settings, from fine to coarse. You may have to experiment with various grind setting to discover the one that suits your tastes. Personally I have found that the 5 setting is best for me. Remember, if your grind is too coarse you will get a watery, weak espresso. A grind that is too fine will result in your espresso being too bitter.

Real espresso machines are not inexpensive. But then an espresso is not just a cup of coffee. True espresso aficionados will know precisely what I mean.

The DeLonghi Magnifica coffee and espresso machine is an affordable, well-deserved gift to yourself that you will appreciate for years to come. Owning one is really a symbol of good taste, style, and sophistication, which your family, friends, and neighbors will recognize when you serve them one of your exquisite espresso drinks.

And you are able to say goodbye to the hassle and high prices that you have been paying for years at your neighborhood Starbucks.

If you appreciate a great espresso then you deserve to splurge on yourself. Nothing quite compares to a really great espresso drink. And you deserve to appreciate one of life's more simple pleasures.

How to Use an Espresso Machine

In order to produce a create coffee drink of espresso - one requires a dedicated machine that delivers a highly pressurized stream of hot water necessary for processing this particular kind of fine, powder-like ground coffee. With a thicker consistency than drip coffee, little amounts of espresso are usually served - often as a shot. However, it is very common to see espresso mixed with other beverages, such as cappuccino and lattes, in an attempt to lessen the strong taste and level of caffeine.

With a history that dates back to the early 20th century in Milan, Italy - espresso has become a famous drink amongst coffee lovers. This trend has prompted an increasing number of people to purchase their own espresso coffee machines in order to bring home the taste they deeply enjoy.

Before you attempt to use your espresso machine (depending on your model), you will probably need to get an espresso grinder and espresso beans, demitasse cups, and water. When approaching the topic of water in regards to using your espresso machine, it is suggested to keep in mind that bottled spring water is not the premium choice for your machine. The amount of minerals found in spring water will spoil your espresso machine. Alternatively, it is preferable to use water that has gone through a process of filtration.

To get an overview of how to use an espresso machine, an example of instructions is posted below:

1) First, you will pour clear, cold water into the water enclosure of your machine. The boiler cap on your unit should be closed. In order to create one shot of espresso - one ounce of water is needed. A double shot requires two ounces. Depending on your espresso machine, you may be able to produce up to four shots at one time.

2) Position the coffee basket in the filter holder, followed by lightly packing in the ground coffee. Most filters will provide a way to measure how much espresso you are creating.

3) Next, you will remove any grounds found on the sides and top of the filter. The filter holder is then placed in the espresso machine.

4) If your machine comes with a glass carafe, this is the time where you position the carafe under the spout. When no carafe is available, a cup is enough. Turn on the machine and in due time - the water is heated to the appropriate temperature and then forced through the coffee grounds.

5) The ideal espresso shot delivers brown foam (referred to as "crema") to the top of the coffee as it begins to flow into your container. When the foam starts to turn white, this is an indication that the liquid with the best taste is no longer exiting the machine. Quickly remove your cup or carafe.

When looking for the proper beans to use with your espresso machine, you should know that specially selected and roasted options are found at major supermarket chains or coffee specialty shops. Serious espresso drinkers normally purchase an espresso grinder and produce their own ground coffee before brewing.

Joy of Drinking an Espresso Coffee

This type of coffee is one that is made by a high-pressure approach in which hot water under pressure is made to move through the grounds. The translation of Espresso from Italian is "pressed out" The first espresso coffee machine was brought out in Italy around the early 1900 and since then it has seen a whole lot of changes. Today, these machines are so high-tech that they are able to make coffee using various hot water pressures, drawing different coffee tastes from the grounds base on how the person likes it. The person who works an coffee machine is deemed to be a coffee expert and is denoted to as a "barista". Coffee machines are fitted with handles, which are used by baristas when they want to produce a cup of coffee. This act of pulling the lever is termed as "shot pulling".

The most measurable extract in espresso coffee is the "crema". Crema is the reddish foam that you can see afloat on top of the drink. It is a mixture of natural components oils, proteins and sugar, present in the coffee grounds. The crema combined with the caffeine in the natural coffee produces a thick syrupy liquid that is rich, full of divine odour, and great to taste. Usually, it takes a barista about half a minute to pull a shot of espresso coffee. A freshly brewed coffee must not be stored, as it will lose its fresh taste and flavor.

Great Espresso Essentials

You probably have consumed many espresso coffees in your life and may feel that you are numero uno in revealing a great drink from a average one. Possibly you are right, but here are the necessities that a coffee drinker should know:

The roasted beans used should not be more than 2-4 days old.
The beans should not be roasted dark; else they will lose their natural components.
Use a good quality grinder to evenly grind the beans.
The beans should be freshly ground, preferably 30 seconds before producing a shot.
The water that a barista uses in an espresso machine has to be filtered.
The espresso cup must be pre-warmed not from the shot poured into it, nor from the espresso machine. The cup should have thick walls and a narrow mouth so that it keeps aroma and taste of the espresso coffee.

Maybe you should check with your barista if he knows of these guidelines. Ultimately, there is nothing like a perfect drink. So long as you get a high quality espresso coffee, you should be delighted.

  • Pad-Halter
  • Spzeziell für Espreso-Pads
  • Passend für HD 7810 - 7812

Philips HD7001/00 Padhalter Espresso für Senseo HD7810 und HD7812 Overview

Are You Sure This is a Starbucks Espresso Machine?

At one look, it is a Starbucks espresso machine, no doubt about it. It has the company logo and is sold on the company website. But, no one has heard about them producing coffee or espresso makers before right?

Well, this is because they are not producing it at all. The espresso brewer that we are talking about is actually produced by a very renowned coffee machine maker, Saeco. And if you think about it, it is not really a Starbucks machine, don't you agreed.

This is a machine that is designed and produced for the company. Although, not done by them, it is a very good coffee machine.

The first thing that attracts many of you to this machine would probably be its exterior, the look and feel of this brewer. I guess everyone would this sturdy all metal casing that wrap around the machine to be very Zen.

Well, great effort went behind the design of this espresso maker; it was done by a team of designers from B&W. Yes, these are the folks that designed the very luxurious sedan cars.

If the design is good, the features of this coffee maker are even better, and one article would not be able to round up all the great features. I would just want to point your attention to one feature which I find would greatly value add to your coffee experience -the rapid steam.

It is because this machine is build by Saeco, that it would be equipped with rapid steam, the proprietary technology from them.

This technology allows you to change from frothing your cappuccino to brewing an espresso without any delay in timing. For folks that has resigned to waiting while changing between steaming and brewing, you would see the merit of this feature.

Reading till here, you would agree with me that the technology behind the Starbucks espresso machine has nothing to do with them, but we should be glad that it is so!

Because of this, you get a machine that is designed by B&W and coffee making technology from Saeco. Don't you think it is better than Starbucks building it themselves?

History of the Coffee and Espresso Machine

A large percentage of the population loves to drink both gourmet coffee and espresso drinks. We are all aware of the fact that coffee and espresso provide a boost of energy and they also warm your body up on those cold winter days. Most, however, are not familiar with the history of the coffee and espresso machines, themselves. Without these machines, we probably wouldn't see such a large population that can easily and affordably prepare these common drinks.

Where did the coffee maker come from?

Since the days of the early Egyptians, coffee has been a staple beverage for most people. Though the Coffee bean originated in Africa, it quickly spread to neighboring countries, like Arabia and Egypt. The first method of bean preparation was to roast the beans on an open fire and then added to boiling water for consumption.

It is believed that coffee was probably considered a type of wine and used to barter and trade. Fermented in much the same as grapes, coffee was a source of energy and warmth for most, but some drank it because they loved the taste, too.

A man by the name of Mr. Laurens came up with the first coffee-making machine in 1818. The machine was constantly modified by coffee drinkers. The coffee machine was actually a product that had just as many patents by women as men, that was practically unheard of at that time!

Through the years, the coffee machine has become a reliable, dependable and easy to use product. In the 1960's, the first filter machines were invented and the modifications have improved even more since then. Coffee making machines began as crude looking inventions, but have evolved into many different styles, making it possible for a Governor and a Harley biker to own the same style! Found in just about every home, the coffee machine is made by many manufacturers, including: Braun, Senseo, Kitchenaid, Krups and Pod.

Where did the espresso machine come from?

Discovered by a goat herder and developed by a tired, hungry traveler, the espresso drink has provided many with the extra energy they may need. The goat herder noticed the goats acting like they had an extreme boost of energy. As he searched for his heard, he noticed they were snacking on a red berry growing from shrubs. Curious, he ate a berry and felt as if he had suddenly gained more energy as a result. At the same time, a tired, hungry traveler witnesses the occurrences and jumped at the chance to try it for himself. Having the same reactions as the herder and goats, he knew that they were on to something. He took some berries and began to add them to drinks for those in his hometown, as the drink seemed to be a good source of energy. The idea took off from there!

The first espresso maker is said to have originated in Italy in 1901, by Italian manufacturing company owner, Lugia Bezzer. He was simply looking for a way to help speed up his employee's coffee breaks. He figured out that if pressure was applied in the brewing process, the drink could be made in a lot less time. Nicknamed "The fast coffee machine", the espresso machine patent was sold in 1905. The new owner, Desidero Pavoni developed an espresso machine that used a piston pump to force water through a tube and into the coffee.

Modifications on the espresso machine were halted by the onset of WWII. Production picked up after the war and in 1946, the commercial espresso machine was invented. Since that time, the espresso maker has been produced by many name brand companies, including: Juda, Mr.Coffee, Kitchenaid and Braun. Offering various features, styles, colors and prices, the espresso machine has come a long way!

Super Automatic Espresso Machine

When you're looking to purchase a super automatic espresso machine, you're probably wondering what the heck that you should look for in a machine to make it worth while to you. While they are all different, I wanted to give you a great checklist that you can look at, to make your purchasing process a lot easier. You can almost consider it like a new car purchase.

#1 Are you brand loyal? The major brand name in the espresso industry would be DeLonghi in my opinion. They make some great products, but they are going to come with a price tag. Do your homework and see if it's something made for you.

#2 What's your budget? With a super automatic machine, you're going to want to spend some big bucks probably, but you don't have to spend thousands. Instead, you can get a good machine for under $200. What is it that you want to spend? You don't want to be too cheap here!

#3 How many cups? How many cups do you want to make with your machine? Most machines are going to make you about 3-4 cups. If you want something more, the biggest one that I have seen on the market is about 6 of them.

#4 What size? Is this going to go on a counter top, or is it going to go on table? They are all going to range in size, so make sure that you're going to get something that fits.

#5 How easy it is to clean? Does it have a removable cup? What do other people think of it? The more that you can take a part, the better it is going to be for you when it comes to cleaning it up.

#6 Look into other features - There are some other cool features that you can consider such as heated trays, electronic steam, stainless steel, and more. We all know that the more you get in terms of features, the more you're going to have to pay. Remember though that you're going to get your moneys worth, so you don't want to be cheap!

When you're ready to consider a machine, here are a few brands that I would recommend that you check out.

*Delonghi
*Saeco
*Jura-Capresso
*Rowenta

Check these brands out and see which one will best suit you for your next espresso that you make at your home!

What Is An Espresso Machine?

An espresso machine is used to produce the traditionally Italian coffee beverage called espresso. Espresso machines are fitted with a metal filter container that is filled with ground coffee that is tamped down to compact the coffee grounds, and the metal filter is locked in place in the machine. Some espresso machines are automatic while others are semi-automatic and require the user to do some additional work in order to produce espresso.

What is Espresso?

Espresso or caffè espresso is a concentrated coffee beverage brewed by forcing very hot, but not boiling water under high pressure through coffee that has been ground to a consistency between extremely fine and powder. Espresso was developed in Milan, Italy in the early 20th century, but up until the mid-1940s it was a beverage produced solely with steam pressure. Espresso is now produced with between 9 and 10 atmospheres or bars of pressure. Espresso machines come with temperature gauges so you can set how hot you would like your drink to be. It is recommended that espresso cups be warmed before use. Most espresso machines have cup warmers.

Automatic Espresso Machines

Automatic espresso machines are a great invention, next to the coffee maker, that will add exactly what is needed to your day, a great cup of coffee. Automatic espresso machines are similar to semi-automatic except have a flowmeter installed inline with the grouphead. Automatic espresso machines designed primarily for commercial use are the most expensive, usually costing several thousand dollars. An automatic espresso machine is one that will cost a bit more than a regular coffee maker, but you also have to think about how much more the automatic espresso machine is going to do. The automatic espresso machine is one that you will put the coffee into, the machine is going to grind the coffee, and then tamp and brew the coffee to your liking to create a perfect cup of coffee. Your espresso machine is so much more than a coffee maker, and will come with a recipe guide on how to create, make and enjoy the best types of coffee drinks.

Pressure

On many consumer and commercial espresso machines, the temperature of the boiler is maintained not with a thermostat control, but a pressure gauge control that activates the boiler's heater once the measured pressure drops too low. Pressure is built up in a cylinder to force water through the grounds and extract the espresso.

Pump

The pump is the part of the machine that pulls the water up into the heating chamber. Pump espresso machines are typically the most expensive, using a pump mechanism to produce the amount of water pressure needed to make espresso.

Brew

Brew Time is used as one of the indicators of a good espresso shot. Brew time is calculated from the moment the pump switch is activated, until the pump switch is turned off.

Price

Prices vary widely, depending on the type of machine, options, features, and the manufacturer. Prices start at about $160 if you go online. Prices can vary significantly from one Italian espresso machine to another.

Cleaning

For regular home use, stock up on essentials such as a frothing pitcher, thermometer, a group brush, and Cleancaf. For heavy duty use, purchase an espresso cleaning kit.

Conclusion

Espresso machines are the home-appliance equivalent of six-speed sports cars-they take countless hours to get used to and even then continue to act up. Espresso machines are definitely not cheap, but, compared to going to Starbuck's every day, it may not take long at all for a good machine to pay for itself. Espresso machines are basically divided into these three categories: Super Automatic, Semi Automatic and Manual. Espresso machines are now more available than ever to the home consumer. Espresso machines are great for entertaining guests or as birthday, holiday, or housewarming gifts.

Making Coffee With Illy Espresso Pods

Many people prefer to purchase illy coffee beans in tins of either whole or ground beans for preparation in traditional coffee makers. However, for those who have a single-serve espresso machine that can create one cup of espresso at a time in the comfort of their own homes, a different denomination of coffee may be more suitable. Luckily, illy coffee is available in two versions specifically for use in at-home espresso machines.

ESE, or "easy serving espresso" is how illy espresso pods are commonly referred to. These pods can be used in any espresso machine that is capable of using pods. Each pod is filled with 7 grams of ground coffee so that you know each cup of espresso will have been made with the perfect amount of coffee as determined by the experts at illy. It only takes 30 seconds to create a cup of espresso when using an ESE pod. Illy's "perfect blend" is utilized for the espresso pods, which are available in three roasts: dark, medium, and decaffeinated. Those who are familiar with illy's product line know that the blends are differentiated with three "theme" colors. Medium roast always features red packaging, dark roast has black packaging, and decaffeinated is identified by a green lid.

Illy also offers iperEspresso coffee capsules that can be used in single-serving espresso machines. Instead of percolating the coffee, an extremely unique two-step extraction process is used to create a velvety, flavorful cup of espresso. Iper-infusion is the first step of the process; the coffee's flavor and aroma is extracted and hot water is pressurized. In the second step, emulsification, the coffee is pushed through a valve that is located at the bottom of the iperEspresso capsule. The result is a cup of espresso like no other. Since the coffee is enclosed in the capsule, no coffee ever touches the espresso machine, which allows for easy cleanup and lack of oil buildup inside of the machine. Illy's iperEspresso capsules are available in dark, medium, and decaffeinated roasts.

Coffee Flavors - Chocolate, French Vanilla, Espresso, Amaretto, Hazelnut, Kona

Who doesn't enjoy waking up to a fresh pot of brewed coffee? With so many different flavors, it can be hard to figure out which are the best ones out there. It is definitely a subjective matter. You should try different varieties to see what appeals to your tastebuds. Try to make your own choices about the best options in coffee flavors.

According to our research from a variety of sources, here are some other most popular coffee flavors:

* Chocolate. Believe it or not, people love their chocolate. Now, this could be a bit of dark or even white chocolate that is added. It can be sweet or bitter. The smooth texture that it adds to the coffee is always a draw in for many.

* French Vanilla. This creamy blend of vanilla and cream is perfect for a luxury coffee drink. You'll find them in all sorts of types. Being one of the most popular options out there, you can find it quite easily to sample.

* Love That Espresso. Yes, especially if you are from Europe, you know the value of a good cup of coffee. In Italy, ordering a cup of coffee will get you this small cup of very strong, very wonderful flavor.

* Go For The Nut. Hazelnut is another one of the wonderful blends of coffee that coffee drinkers are after. When it comes to tasting like a nut, you won't get much of that here. But, you will get an even taste, one that is not too bitter, yet not too sweet either.

* Amaretto. This type of coffee is sure to give you a little zing. That's because it is made to taste like the Italian liquor. Most times you will find it called Almond Amaretto.

* Dark Roast It Has To Be Here! There is just something amazing about the flavor and after taste of a dark roast coffee. If you haven't had it, try it.

* Kona Anyone? Kona is a very wonderful coffee that is much unlike other flavors out there. It has an underlying hint of citrus that is just enough to make you say, "What is that wonderful coffee flavor?"

There you have it. You might've heard of some of these, and the others must be new to you. You'll never know what you're missing out on till you try the others. Have fun.

Getting a Used Commercial Espresso Machine

Espresso machines obviously make espresso, but they can also be used to make cappuccinos and lattes. Large machines built specifically for commercial businesses can help to ensure that many customers can be served, and workers can remain focused and awake during the long hours into the night that often accompany a particular long project or assignment. They are a great investment for a business.

Commercial espresso machine reviews wil help you learn which features are beneficial in different settings. One feature to take into account is how quickly the cups of espresso are brewed, as well as how many can be brewed at a time.

Commercial machines often have steel bodies, and this is for a reason. A steel bodied machine cannot be cracked, and is also pretty easy to scrub down and clean. Commercial machines can be seen in most bars and restaurants. Nowadays it is also possible to make your very own espresso and cappuccino coffee right at home with your very own domestic espresso machine.

Commercial coffee shops use machines that are built with high quality in mind in order to be able to guarantee their espresso can be delivered on a quick and consistent basis. The downside to buying this kind of machine is most definitely the cost, but that may still be a small price to pay for the ease of use and convenience that allows you to have espresso when you and your customers want it, as well as how much.

Coffee houses, for example, which are the main users of commercial kinds of espresso machines, must follow a strict regimen of cleaning their espresso machines. Failure to do so will, at best, impede the proper functioning of their machine and, at worst, can foster the growth of bacteria which could be harmful to the consumer.

How to Make a Cup of Good Espresso Coffee

Espresso coffee is becoming one of the most popular types of beverage that people are drinking around the world. It is a blend of several different types of coffee beans from different countries. Many people believe that it translates as express because of the fact that in cafes it is traditionally brewed when a customer orders and is delivered straight to them. All over the world, the espresso coffee is synonymous with Italy and this is where the best coffee mixtures can be found and have been selected to celebrate the true flavor of the coffee.

Espresso, while apparently a simple drink, is in reality a complex product. Espresso or caffe espresso is a concentrated coffee brew brewed by forcing very hot, but not boiling, water under high pressure through coffee that has been ground to a consistency that is between extremely fine and powder. If you go to a cafe or espresso bar and ask for an espresso, what you will get is a shot-sized glass holding a small amount of very strong coffee.

Making Good Espresso

There are many requirements in making a good mug of espresso coffee. First, espresso uses a greater dose of coffee per water then drip coffee. To pull a shot of espresso, a metal filter-basket is filled with 7 to 10 grams of ground coffee for a single shot or 12 to 18 grams for a double shot. The temperature and time of consumption are important variables that must be observed to enjoy an ideal espresso, as it should be consumed within 2 minutes from when it is served. Freshly brewed coffee must be served or mixed into other coffee beverages immediately, or it will begin to degrade due to cooling and oxidation.

The end result should be a cup filled with two 1-1 ounce shots of espresso, topped with of crema. An espresso shot that is brewed in less than 25-seconds is under-extracted. It will appear watery, have little or no crema, and taste weak and bitter. Where on the other hand an espresso shot that is brewed in over 30 seconds is over-extracted.

Making the perfect cup of espresso coffee is a combination of both art and science. Traditionally machines can only be used to make coffee, but most modern espresso coffee machines can also be used to make espresso and cappuccino, as they have a separate spout for frothing milk. And with the consumption of espresso coffee expected to grow as consumption shifts from the coffee bar to the home and to the office, no doubt more and more people are getting coffee machines for themselves.

The reason for my interest is that when I am at home, I am able to make and drink espresso coffee with ease anytime I want. You too can try it, and savor the great pleasure of having a great cup of espresso coffee.

Lavazza Coffee and Espresso Machines

In addition to creating wonderful Lavazza coffee beans, the company also sells two types of coffee makers so that customers can be their own barista and brew that perfect cup of coffee both at work and at home. The two coffee makers that Lavazza sells are its Lavazza Espresso Point and Lavazza Blue.

The Lavazza Espresso Point uses Lavazza pods, which are single-serving cartridges of coffee. These pods come in a variety of Lavazza coffee flavors such as Crema e Aroma, as well as tea selections. The pod is inserted into the machine, and once you add water and select your brew size, your coffee will automatically start brewing! After your cup is done, the Lavazza pod will fall into a storage drawer so that you can dispose of many cartridges at once without having to dirty your hands by touching a wet, used cartridge. The small design of the Lavazza Espresso Point makes it a wonderful choice for home use, but it has the strength and sturdiness for use in an office or reception room setting.

The Lavazza Blue machine, which was built specifically for residential use, works in the same way as the Lavazza Espresso Point. Lavazza Blue has an LED display which aids users in knowing when their coffee is finished brewing. Single-serving capsules are also used, and they come in a variety of coffee and tea flavors, such as Espresso Intenso and Caffe Crema.

The Lavazza Espresso Point and Lavazza Blue are two convenient ways to enjoy coffee shop-quality coffee both at home and at work. Both machines can be purchased online through a variety of retailers. They are wonderful ways to enjoy the quality and flavor of Lavazza coffee beans and their ease of use make them popular choices, especially in commercial locations.

If you are really serious about purchasing a quality espresso machine for your home here are a few tips to look for when purchasing that perfect espresso machine.

A good cup of espresso is not possible without a good espresso machine. Good espresso requires a clean machine of good quality. Not of excellent quality. 'Good quality means: generates heat by boiler or thermoblock and is capable of producing pump pressure of 9 bar or better. Let me explain 'thermoblock'. A 'thermoblock' heats water as it passes through the machine on the way to the pump. This feature is present in most middle tier machines on the market. Avoid the cheaper units that rely on steam to create pressure.

The Rancilio Espresso Machine is one of the best espresso machines on the market and features most if not all of the tips just mentioned in the previous paragraph. Espresso Machines - The Taste of Italy at Home

Bring the romance of Italy home with the rich, full-flavor of espresso coffee. Espresso machines are becoming more popular for home brewing. There are a wide variety of espresso machine styles available for the home consumer. The prices vary depending upon the machine's features: manual, semi-manual, or automatic.

The brewing system of the espresso machines force hot, pressurized water through coffee which is ground into a fine powder. The result is a steamy, distinct flavor with an enticing aroma and served in 3 ounce shots. Espresso coffee beans are strong and highly caffeinated, yet produce a smooth bodied coffee.

All espresso coffee machines have basically the same working parts:

Water Reservoir - Just like traditional coffee makers, the reservoir contains the water for brewing. Most can be removed for cleaning.

Pump - Draws the water into the chamber that heats the water, producing the high pressure needed to make the coffee. Heating Chamber - Usually made of stainless steel with the coiled heating element at the bottom. It works on the same principle as an electric toaster, heating the water as it passes through the chamber.

Portafilter - This holds the filter basket in which the ground coffee is placed. The hot, pressurized water passes through the filter to produce the espresso.

Steam Wand - Use this for making a latte type of coffee. Pour cold milk under the steam wand which heats the milk. Froth is made by holding the steam nozzle close to the milk.

Controls - Depending upon the espresso machine model, the control panel with have a power switch, indicator lights for strength of brewing, temperature controls, and time controls.

With a little practice, you will have a superb cup of espresso, latte or cappuccino to serve family and friends. Experiment with various espresso beans and find the flavor that appeals most to you; some beans are even chocolate covered.

Commercial Espresso Machines For Good Espresso Coffee

If you look around hard enough you will notice that there are many different types of espresso machines including the stove top espresso machine that are found in many homes which suit travelers as well as tourists as well. The commercial espresso machines, on the other hand, are distinguished from other espresso machines in that they may have different features such as pumps and heat exchangers.

The Heat Exchanger Is Different

You can always tell which the home espresso machine is and which the commercial espresso machine is if you check out the heat exchanger. In fact, if you choose a semi-commercial espresso machine, you don't even have to wait much time for the boiler to get warm enough after brewing of the espresso has begun. This is something that sets it apart from other espresso machines

Another notable feature of the commercial espresso machine is the pump which is a vibratory pump in the case of a semi-commercial espresso machine, and a rotary vane in the case of a fully commercial machine, which means that the commercial variant uses a larger as well as stronger and more powerful pump.

You will also find that certain commercial espresso machines do not have the same boiler for brewing water and preparing steam, which means you, will not need to switch from one brewing mode to another in such a machine. You will also find different commercial espresso machines including the pump driven espresso maker, and the automatic espresso machine.

You can choose the one that suits your budget best and which produces better as well as consistent quality of coffee. It is the quality of coffee that a particular commercial espresso machine can give which will decide the issue of whether to buy it or not. You should also make sure that it does not need too much fine tuning to meet customer's demands. You can find out more about commercial espresso machines and espresso coffee at http://www.bestespressocoffeemachines.com/

The demand for good quality coffee that is available instantly is what drives big commercial espresso machine makers into incorporating into their products just such features. So, before you choose one particular machine make sure that you find that the time it takes to make the espresso fits in with your general needs, and you won't find yourself spending a lot of time and money on maintenance and that its operations are easy to perform, and the taste of the espresso is consistent and uniform.

Good espresso is what drives in customers to coffee shops and cafes and so these outlets should have the very best commercial espresso machines such as those made by Saeco to keep the customers satisfied and coming back over and over again.
