How to Clean a Coffee Machine

A regular maintenance of your coffee maker is of essence after purchase. You must bear in mind that any machine that suffers maintenance. Other things need maintenance apart from old filter replacement.

The most frequently purchased coffee maker is the drip coffee maker because they are the most simple and their maintenance is easy. However, the machine must not suffer maintenance as this could damage your machine in no time. Certain important things that you need to know to properly maintain your machine are below.

To avoid electrocution, make sure you completely remove the electric cord of your machine from the socket. Carefully detach the different parts separately. Then carryout your cleaning, taking a piece after another. Clean the glass part separately, using soap and water, and insure it gets dried enough before coupling it back.

Proper cleaning of the spilled over coffee deposits should be done by removing the screw, as this will enable you see all the parts that need cleaning very well. If you are thinking you could use an ordinary piece of dry cloth with water to do this cleaning, sorry to say that it is not possible.

Repeated cleaning using a mixture of vinegar and water is the best choice for removing hard deposits of coffee from your machine. This task requires patience because you need to keep checking till you are sure there are no deposits again in the machine.

Vinegar is known to have some scent which could interrupt that unique, fresh smell of your coffee, so it is often recommended to properly rinse your machine with water or the coffee, and after this, let it dry out completely.
